Salesforce Lightning has been around for several years now and there are still a bunch of orgs that exist on Classic. Why? In my experience there are a few reasons why customers decide to stay on classic including:
- Some features they rely on are not yet included in Lightning (this decreases each release, and chances are with the help of a consultant you can find a solution with Lightning as exists today)
- They haven’t yet spent the time to evaluate the cost of switching to Lightning.
- They just don’t know what they don’t know about Lightning and so they are hesitant to make the change.
I wanted to provide some resources that may help customers with the third issue, just not knowing what they don’t know.
Salesforce, in case you are not yet aware, has a free online training tool called Trailhead. Trailhead has a ton of information about the Salesforce platforms and several links that may help you get more familiar with Lightning.
